Food Restaurant+Wine bar suggestion in Highbury/Stokey/Dalston area

Maybe one for Nick or others...
Daughter Joanna is having a birthday and is looking for a niceish restaurant for dinner on a Sunday (3rd October).
Places like Perilla, Trullo, Primeur are being considered. Any others to consider? I thought Clarence was good...
Corkage would be a plus!

Update - Clarence don't do dinner on Sundays. Perila's last sitting is 6pm (a bit on the early side for Joanna, apparently!)

I'm not sure which places are open for Sunday dinner, but some other good restaurants in the area: Wander, Trangallan, Berber & Q, Mangal II (great reviews for the new menu recently, although I haven't tried), Farang, Casa Fofo (haven't been, but friends rave about it).

Top Cuvee is buzzy and fun and I think open for Sunday dinner. I don't think Primeur, which I like very much indeed, is, although that might have changed (their other places might be worth trying too - Western's Laundry, Jolene, Big Jo - although I like Primeur the most).

Depends on who's going. If the group is made up of foody/wine-nerd types then I'd recommend most of the places mentioned above but if you're taking civilians then I'd be seeking an altogether more innocent brand of fun at somewhere like Pappagone's Pizzeria or The Pig & Butcher. I realise the former is slightly out of your target area but it is an especially fun birthday venue.

Trullo and Smokehouse should please all-comers and the former will offer corkage at a reasonable price.

Well, it's a mixture. I'm going, plus my Mrs, my mother, Joanna and her boyfriend. All appreciate interesting food. Wine - well, it's probably just me.
I've been to Trullo before. I recall finding it very good, but not special. I guess my personal inclination would be towards Primeur (who do £20/bottle corkage FWTW)

Just had a look at (and bounced off) the Top Cuvee website. I must be well outside their target demographic! I am pretty much none the wiser....

Suspect they'll be more after cocktails!
Stoke Newington/Newington Green is a lot better for pubs than cocktails, especially in the area nearer Primeur. Perhaps they should try somewhere in Dalston, e.g. Three Sheets, High Water, Duchess of Dalston. Best in Stoke Newington perhaps Victory Mansion (I don't like Original Sin, which in theory should be great), but that's not much closer to Primeur than the ones in Dalston.

Most of those closed on Sunday. High Water seems like a good option, though - thanks.

If Angel isn't too far then you could try Frederick's although I'd recommend you check availability as they have re-jigged the bar area given these unprecedented times. FWIW I went there for a birthday drinks bash last summer and had a smashing time working through their cocktail list.
