Keep up!Good toss to lose, it seems. 12/4.
How about day 4 ?I’m going to Lords for the first time in years tomorrow. Glad I don’t have a ticket for day 3 instead!
As a matter of tacit spousal policy, my wife hasn’t once initiated a discussion about the selection of the England team in the last 2 years. She got off the mark yesterday, as we watched Lees leave that straight one, with the question, “What’s happened to James Vince?”Time for my first ‘bring back Vince’ of the season.
….and Foakes is our best wicket keeper and can bat a bitCouldn’t make it yesterday as had a friend’s wedding to go to…..but today was a well spent hour in the Allen stand. Joe Root was magnificent and notably seemed to be the only England player to come over and sign autographs for the kids after the game. He made my 12 year old’s day.
Per Jasper’s thoughts, I’m not sure the result tells you much other than the fact that if you’ve got Stokes, Anderson, Root and Broad in your side and you play matches in England you’ll win the odd one.
Not often you go into the last day of a test match with all three, or even four, results possible.A draw is most likely. Of course an outstanding bowler of spin would have made s possible difference!
