Personnaly, I have waxed a gibbon, and most enjoyable it was too. Until the incident....
At least the RSPCA no longer ask for donations so regularly, Tom.

I appreciate that the pedantry task is normally the responsibility of another, but gibbons are apes not monkeys.
NB. Yesterday, at a local RSPB reserve whilst walking our spaniel, overheard a lady referring to 'seagulls'. I managed to stop myself from correcting her & pointing out they were gulls.
...But did you successfully refrain from giving her the bird, Mark?
They’re at it again this afternoon….The declining standards of the Beeb's written word are a constant source of dismay.
You're too kind, Julian. I'd say moronic rather than brave.

A miserable piece here. ‘I dread Christmas. My husband won’t get jabbed’: The families split over Covid vaccines as they plan holiday gatheringsharsh but very fair…
For those that want a brief on him, have a read of his Wikipedia article. Proper tin foil hat stuff, from 5G induced covid to Bill Gates wanting to reduce the world population…!I read somewhere earlier that Piers Corbyn, mentioned in the article, has successfully contrived to be not only the worst Corbyn but the worst Piers in public life, which is some sort of achievement.
Tell me about it...without wanting to encourage thread drift too much, I remember an online article earlier this year, about the relative lack of likelihood of seeing a particular meteor shower because "the moon was waxing gibbons"... I'm not monkeying around here...
My AZ made me feel a little run down for 24 hrs with few hours headache but was ok. My recent Pfizer booster produced no side effects at all. Bit of a sore arm after 24 hrs but much better than AZ. Was surprised as anecdotal reports were that the booster did seem to produce a response.Following an unexpected message from the nhs telling me I needed to get on with getting my booster posthaste I did so yesterday. A Pfizer version which has given me exactly the same reaction as my first 2 az ones. Lots of aching joints, a terrible night’s sleep with feverish dreams and a feeling that someone has punched me in the arm quite hard. Clearly better than the alternative scenario mind you. I find it interesting that the nhs are being really proactive about it for ‘people who are at a higher risk of complications due to covid’.
I received the same attachment from the Scottish founder of the local Clansman Rugby Club so there shouldn't be any worries on that account. I immediately passed it on to my buddy who plays the bagpipes at local events, for which he only asks for a bottle of scotch.Hope nobody is offended but this was too good to pass up.
