NWR: John Lewis card scam?

I have just received a John Lewis e-card worth £120. It seems I sent it to myself. yet I have not ordered or paid for a card. Has this happened to anyone else? I've not opened the attachment in case it contains a virus.

Sounds like a scam to me. Copy a sentence or phrase from the email, paste it into google, put double quotes around it, and hit search. Probably you will find more details of the scam

I also have one of these and thought it looked dodgy but checked the JL website and turns out it’s legit (assuming you have the same email as me).

Yes, I do have the same. I clicked on some of the links in the email and it took me to the JL website, so I think this is genuine. What puzzles me is that it says it is valid for two years from November 2020. I did order a card about hat time last year - but it was for one of my staff, who was leaving. We had a collection for her and I bought the card for her with the proceeds. Why they have sent me this now is a mystery. And why would they give me another £120?
