Phishing scam with London Restaurants

Just had a call from this number purporting to be The Ledbury reservations team with details of previous visit and a claim that the ‘Deposit’ hadn’t been refunded. Asked whether I wanted it returned to card or as vouchers. When I pointed out that they weren’t calling from the number I usually associate with The Ledbury, we mysteriously lost connection. Beware.

It was a well spoken chap who sounded perfectly plausible. Anyway, I called the Ledbury to pass the number on in case they can do anything with it. Sounds as if the fraudsters are using several numbers.

Precisely this just happened to me only the call was from 0207 793 9090 which is only one number away from The Ledbury's digits (0207 792 9090).

Beware - they are clearly still at it!
