Sub £10 gems.

Always enjoyed The Fergus by Tim Adams. Grenache based Aussie wine. Very consistent. Available at Tesco & other retailers.
I thought this was a very decent price for the Fergus until I saw this:
2010 CVNE Rioja Gran Reserva. £12.50, but under a tenner with current 25% off 6+ promotion.

That is a fantastic price for CVNE's GR !!! The "plain" reserva sells for about £17 here.

Perhaps it's a different bottling, as the CVNE Vina Real Gran Reserva 2010 is 23-24 euros in Spain itself. The Imperial is a lot more and I wasn't aware that there was potentially one under this as well.

24°C special: any thoughts on drinkable rosé at the sub-£10 price point? I probably enjoy less than 5% of rosés. Has to be bone-dry, zippy, zesty, oranges and grapefruits alongside the strawberry. That said, no need for complexity, just refreshing gluggability.

M&S sell Palatai, German Pinot Noir, relatively fruit forward. It is usually £11.5 (last time I bought) but with their regular 25% offers will be under £10. Good value at the full price, excellent when reduced

I really enjoy the Percheron Old Vine Cinsault, though I haven't had the last couple of vintages. When it's available from the Wine Society, you can get it for about £6/ bottle, which is amazing value. I find their Shiraz-Mourvedre a bit claggy though.
