Set it up today and it works just fine.
Luck probably but we landed on a server that works for ITV too.

So what setup / approach did you go for in the end. The mesh setups are great but are a touch frustrating in you cant often split bands or SSIDS for differing options.

Well we already had the mesh. So I just plugged the new ‘Mango’ into the router, set it to use VPN and now we have two ‘networks’. One in the U.K. one in France.

Yes exactly, that was my point as the mesh system is great and was trying to think how to get two networks or SSID with same coverage and performance.
So the Mango router is a plug in stand alone and you use Wi-Fi on shorter range for endpoints and I guess can switch the Apple TV to it etc. Looks a useful little gadget.

Well one benefit is that the Apple TV easily switches from U.K. to French networks now, with no need to change DNS settings etc.

It wouldn’t work if we needed the U.K. network in the basement. But we don’t.
