I seem to have bought a case of magnums of Jaume Vinsobres. What on earth was I thinking of?
Thanks, I have enough other vintages, it was just surprising. It seems demand has finally caught up. I may go the AB route next yearYou might try AB vintners, that where I got mine.
A jolly luncheonI seem to have bought a case of magnums of Jaume Vinsobres. What on earth was I thinking of?
I guess so...Was Gonon offered at all? I have beenbuying for years and there was no where to be found. Not a big loss in my mind though.
It was in the less obvious ‘online only’ part of the offer, rather than under the northern rhone section. Was Gonon offered at all? I have beenbuying for years and there was no where to be found. Not a big loss in my mind though.
I thought the same Colin, I wondered if it was about the quality, or alcohol, vs prices or something else that drove the changes ?I didn’t order anything as I don’t need it but it did strike me that a lot of the regular producers were missing this year, and conversely there were quite a few producers who don’t usually feature in TWS’s offers. I wonder whether this was the consequence of the more difficult logistics that have applied during the pandemic. I gather that Marcel O-W did manage to visit the region while the lockdown was lifted last summer/autumn but perhaps he couldn’t taste as widely as usual. I’ve not researched it in detail but I gained the impression that the offer was, overall, a bit less wide-ranging than normal.
My mother taught me 'if you don't ask, you don't get'. I didn't get.I got 3 Gonon so happy with that!
+1. I'd assumed it was because some of the wines might have been too much of a good thing, but who knows.I thought the same Colin, I wondered if it was about the quality, or alcohol, vs prices or something else that drove the changes ?
