TN 2021 Lucchine Tedeschi , Valpolicella

Light , clear garnet. The nose is initially a bit bonkers , zippy, cherry fruit, but with some time it settles down. Dark cherry and a hint of something floral, that eventually reminds me of rosehips and dog rose. The palate follows, dark cherry, and an earthy, savoury note, with a good acidity carrying the finish. The tannins are boisterous and the whole wine has an effervescent vif about it.

With a green salad with dressing and pizza , the wine shrugs off the acid in the dressing, and seems to make everything better, which is the sign of a cracking food wine to me :) .

Not a cheapy , but £11.50 seems reasonable for this much fun.
