TN A nice little Alicante Bouschet from Yapp

2020 Domaine de Roquemale Meli-Melo, Vin de Pays de l'Hérault, 13.5%

Very impressed by the back label TN: "un vin de soif gourmand" which sums it up very nicely.

On day one, I served this at cellar temperature:

Dark - and I mean very, very dark inky purple.
Open, fresh, bright, powerful black fruit on the nose.
Deep, rich palate. Good fruit, but also lots of interest and some serious meatiness. Nicely balanced. Some, but not overbearing, grippy tannins on the finish.
Very, very drinkable.

On the second day (tonight), I served it at room temperature (it had just been sat in the living room with the cork in overnight)
Not a great deal of difference, though it seems less interesting and less elegant than yesterday. Just a bit soupier and the tannins are a little more prominent now. But still rather dangerously drinkable.

Worked very well with a bit of chilli heat in the two meals (a Great Northern Pie mince beef pie with chickpeas braised with Lao Gan Ma black bean in chilli sauce, and a Booths spicy salami pizza tonight).

As you can tell by the fact that I've actually posted a tasting note on this, I very much enjoyed this, and thought it good value at just under £15 (when I bought it).
