Aleyard Hit For six

  1. Bottle-conditioned 330ml 10%

    Aroma of malt, alcohol, and citrus. Flavour is quite fruity with orange predominant and some darker fruit notes, also some brandy notes. Finish is bitter for a beer of this strength with more citrus and dried fruit.

    This has some similarities with Westmalle Tripel. The only think that it mars it is a lingering slightly unpleasant astringent aftertaste.
  2. I have just tried the stronger Broadhead at 12% The alcohol really dominates with this. There is a touch of citrus with some dark fruit, but there is not a lot of flavour definition. This is sweeter that the other one. Reasonably drinkable for the strength but not a beer I would buy again.
