Competitive Offers from Retailers

The Extra Age was the one that M&S were selling off (at £25 I think). I bought some at quite a few stores and visits and still have about 4 bottles left. I'm no Champagne tasting expert but I thought it was very good and would say it is worth the 40 quid being asked.

L&W have a sale of Italian wine (no connection). Haven’t much clue on wines from Italy, but think I have found a bargain.

I did think about buying a case and selling it on, but firstly, I never have the money available to buy 6+ and secondly, my moral compass felt it would not be the right thing to do. In any case, everything I have ever tried to make money on has failed , so possibly not what I think it is!

Anyway, I should get to the point. The wine is Quercibella Camartina 2017 and it is on sale at just over £26. Seems to be a full bottle.

Hope it is a good recco.

Nothing comes up searching that wine in their site.
Perhaps it’s a cellar offer?
I’ve had the Chianti from this property but is this a super Tuscan type ?

Yes i had a look last night after the L&W Italy event for a couple of things I had tried there - and found both the things i wanted at 15% discount from the price marked in the event brochure. Haven't been able to establish how wide the discounts run.

PS. My 'value pick' from the L&W tasting last night was the Brunelli Rosso di M 2017 - £34ib in magnum on the site.

Yes, Cab Sauv and Sangio. On the face of it £27ib is a very good price compared to other offers in the market, but the market seems so soft at the moment that the 'true' price may be much less than the prices advertised elsewhere.

Picked up some Pieropan Calvarino at £13ib and LaLu Langhe Nebbiolo at £17ib from the L&W sale
So did I!

I tasted the Rizzi wines for the first time last night and have no idea why they're such good value - maybe because AG doesn't review them? The 2019 Pajore is superb and well-reviewed, and £22 in the sale. The 2020s were bloody lovely as well!
