Dark & Perilous nights

That looks absolutely amazing! If that's the 12.4% ABV 2024 collaboration with J. Wakefield Brewing out of Florida, then you've got an absolute classic in a glass!

J. Wakefield is one of the TOP breweries stateside and any collaboration with them is always going to be a gem.

Funnily enough, Siren Craft Brew recently did a collaboration with Green Cheek Brewing out of SoCal. I'll stick that on these pages over the weekend. Nice job with Dark & Perilous Nights!

Richard's post prompted me to dig deep in to a cardboard box in the cellar where this bottle has sat for the best part of 10 years.

Untappd reports the following

"A blend of 85% Nacken, 5% Pale ale in Chardonnay barrels with Brett, and 10% fresh soundwave and then aged on peaches for a couple weeks."

The Brett is still very evident. it opened without any of the drama fretted beers sometimes have when they froth exuberantly and uncontrollably.

The peach influence is still evident but quite subtle. Fully, (perhaps slightly over) mature? I'm not sure how long these beers were intended to be kept?

A pleasure to drink rather than an earth shattering one and perhaps I should have saved it to open with other beer lovers but it has been a joy all the same.IMG_5751.jpeg
