I remember there used to be some lovely relatively low alcohol Dolcettos around that were charming - upping the alcohol and trying to make it serious seems to have backfired .

I have had a few cheap version from cooperatives that while not thrilling are perfectly nice in comparison with most of those from serious addresses.

I hesitate to speak, as I have very limited experience of Dolcetto, but that was my impression too

Dry SB to clarify. As I assume most others mean . I quite like Bordeaux white or Vergelegen Bordeaux blend . As long as there is plenty of Semillon.

Irrelevant anyway because hardly anyone buys Sauternes either!
