Peaty recommendations

Location
London
I've just finished my bottle of Laphroaig Lore and need another bottle of something peated to fill the gap on the shelf. Any recommendations? I enjoyed the Lore, and others I've enjoyed include Ardbeg Corryvreckan, Port Charlotte 10, Balvenie Peat Week, Talisker 57N... thoughts welcome!

Kilkerran (generally). Batch 8 CS was fab, batch 9 a notch below. Not tried any age statements yet. As you likely know, it is a Campbeltown sister distillery of Springbank, and generally a much better buy as it is available / not that hard to find, and relatively speaking VFM.

Otherwise I would have said Port Charlotte 10 (which you are on to)…

I'm a big fan of Lagavulin 16 for a peaty whisky.

Bowmore 15 is another pretty decent option. ......Which reminds me that I have a bottle of Aston Martin edition at home still yet to be opened

Sounds like I should give Port Charlotte a go

Other glaring omission is Ardnamurchan, ideally the Cask Strength, failing which AD. I’ve gone through at least four (possibly five?) bottles in the last 12 months or so.

Just back from a trip to Islay, during which we managed to visit all the distilleries, and Jura. Jura and Ardbeg didn't convince, but all the others had something to offer.

Highlights (in rough geographic order) were Kilchoman (Loch Gorm), Bruichladdich (Port Charlotte and Octomore), Bunnahabhain (unpeated drams only) and Lagavulin.

The one I bought to fill my peat shaped hole was Lagavulin 16.

Laphroaig 10 sherry finish also worthy of consideration.

One more from Islay, as yet unvisited is Ardnahoe. I've just finished a bottle of the Inaugural Release (5 yo) and as it seems to be no longer available have just ordered a 5 yo cask strength. The Inaugural was a really lively moderately peaty dram that's light on its feet and yet full of flavour, that's young and energetic but doesn't seem harsh or edgy. Definitely a distillery that I'll be watching now.
