Supermarket promotions Q2 2024

25% off 6+ also at Asda to Monday 6 May. Excludes Scotland and Wales.
Tattinger is cheaper than JS at £25.50, Bollinger £36 after discount
Or for something different, Kylie's pink Prosecco comes out at £6.37

Sainsburys 25% off 6+ 29 April-5 May

Thanks again, Paul.

My son loves a wine stocked by Sainsbury's and he doesn't have a store anywhere near him, so I get them in the 25% off period and hand them over next time either he come to see us or we go to see him.
Otherwise we don't shop at Sainsbury, so wouldn't know about the deal without your 'word on the street'.

That's an "up to". It's not an across the board promotion. Waitrose had 25% off 6+ in mid-June 2022 but not last year. Most likely date is end August, although I think there is a small possibility of them matching others around the late May bank holiday.

Waitrose are currently doing 25% off three bottles of any mix of their No1 range. Which has some decent wines.
I really enjoyed the No.1 Barossa Shiraz (St Hallett Reserve) they had 1-2 years ago, but it seems to have disappeared at least from my local branches.

There is also a No.1 Cederberg South African Shiraz which is good but not as good imo.

Spotted a few rtc wines in my local TEE... admittedly not great reductions to start but they often reduce further if they don't shift.

Not sure if these are nationwide.

Lanson Le Rose NV 375ml down from £25 to £21.25
Vergelegen Sauv Blanc 2023 down from £11 to £9.35
Vergelegen Cab Sauv/Merlot 2020 down from £11 to £9.35
Wente Pinot Noir Central Coast 2019 down from £21 to £17.85

Also had Bonny Doon (white) rtc (the last bottle I had was pretty awful and went down the sink), a Californian zin I'd never heard of and a couple of Bonterras rtc with a couple of quid off them.

Previously discussed here and subsequently, LIDL have further reduced this to a ridiculous £5.99 per bottle. Having bought (and drunk) more of it than any wine since the 2016 primeurs, I have detected occasional bottle variation – some bottles are more opulent and others slightly leaner, but every one would have impressed at twice or even three times the price...

Gotta love Sicilian wine, always great value for money, especially in Sicily itself. The two tours I did amazed me as to how good both the wine and food were and how cheap the whole place was at the time (2016, 2019).

Cheers

Dave

Never been spotted in either of my local Lidls.

I've got a £100 John Lewis / Waitrose voucher - I guess it makes sense for me to be patient and wait for a 25% off 6 bottles campaign or something similar... Let's see if I can resist.

Any updates on whether Waitrose may do such an offer for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend?
