Supermarket promotions Q4 2021

A new thread as the last one was becoming a but unwieldy (and getting sidetracked from time to time).

Sainsbury 25% off 6+ 22 October - 2 November (excluding Scotland)
Expect Tesco and Waitrose around the same time. (edit - and possibly also Asda)

Reminder of the basic rules
- excludes fortified (except Waitrose)
- cumulates with any other promotions
For collection/delivery, collection/delivery date is the one that counts. Allowing substitutes (and rejecting) normally protects discount is any are unavailable

Paul - thank you for the inside track, it is appreciated.

For those who do not wish to wait until the end of the month, Waitrose have 25% of a few things now, most of which is not terribly interesting, but including Ayala Brut down to £22ish. At that price it is a pretty smart party fizz I think.

Asda now confirmed - Monday 18 October - Weds 3 November.
Excludes Champagne.

d'Arenberg d'Arry's Original Grenache Shiraz has now dropped back to £10 before discount, so could be worth a go. Not much else catches the eye.

.... And to be honest with a quick google you can pick up earlier vintages online for cheaper (though would have to split a case if you didn’t want to commit to 6 or 12)
Yes given what £40 will buy you in Sauternes these days (eg Rieussec 2007 from Farr at something like £27 a bottle not long ago) it’s not even very good value.
