Speak No Evil is a very good album. Among the best that Shorter did alongside the Jazz Messengers and Miles's 2nd quartet. I never really did warm up to the Weather Report stuff, however. Do I need to retry those?

I did enjoy Weather Report when I was at university, but life is too tame now for me to get properly into that sort of thing. I haven't listened to all of their work, but the main album we used to put on was "Mr Gone".

I think this is probably my favourite Wayne Shorter composition. It's on this wonderful Lee Morgan album recorded in the mid 60's but not released until the late 70's I love Wayne's solo on this.
