  1. TN: 1995 Clynelish: Signatory: 17 years old single cask

A Signatory (for The Whisky Exchange) vintage cask strength single cask bottling at 56.2%, aged 17 years old. One of
622 bottles, matured in a refill sherry butt. Mid amber, a smoky and beeswax laden nose with some dried fruit. The sparky mouthfeel is more alcoholic than I expected, especially given the sherry cask ageing. Dried fruit with alcohol and a hint of sweetness. I was underwhelmed, even with the addition of a few drops of mineral water.

  2. That's a little disappointing, their regular 14 yo is one of my go to malts and it's usually very decent. I bet is wasn't cheap either.

  3. Not cheap.
