What are the benefits of in-bond?

I have wine in bond for reasons expressed by Tom and you Mark. Just mentioned that investment is another reason why many keep wine in bond

Never sold a bottle & no intentions to do so. My executors can deal with that.
I have been buying in bond for various reasons: space, decent storage, 20% 'discount', kicking the bill down the road. And helping Mrs C not fret about having too much wine.
