Iberia – Explore Spain and Portugal
There is more to Spain than Rioja and Sherry!
Ribero del Duero, Rias Baixas and Penedes, amongst others, offer both traditional and modern wine styles with winemakers combining traditional grape varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Carinena with ‘international’ grape varieties, to produce stunning new wines.
Let’s not forget Portugal, again most people think of the very famous fortified wine – Port – but there are a huge amount of interesting native grape varieties too. From lovely, light, crisp Vihno Verde to the dense, dark and rich Touriga Nacional there has been a major upward shift in quality in recent years and the value from some Portuguese reds is hard to beat.
We’ll explore the very best examples of these two exciting wine-making countries.
Stunning wines, unique and different.
Great value at £25 and includes full tasting notes and a selection of cheese and ham to nibble on!
