James has been designing and writing wine lists for over twenty years. First with Rick Stein at his eponymous Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, and more recently at The Vineyard at Stockcross, Newbury, where he presided over a 3000 bin list drawn from over 100 suppliers and wineries from across the globe. James will present six wines from the parts of the wine list that offer the best value across the world as well as explaining how a list is created and useful pointers to observe. He will reveal the bottles that wine merchants drink when the visit restaurants, and more importantly, the bottles they avoid.
