On a recent trip I wandered round the City Target store in San Francisco and was struck by how many terrible wine labels there were on the wine shelves. Don’t get me wrong, a similar store in the UK would reveal horrors too, but I’d guess 25% of the wines here had cringe-worthy labels. A social anthropologist might explain it, but for now let’s just revel in the awfulness of this snap selection:
