Another fine year of tasting. I was honoured to receive the award as Portuguese Wine Writer of the Year 2010, which has meant four trips to Portugal and tasting over 700 wines, so lots to choose from there! I also tasted thousands of wines (as well as actually drinking quite a few more of course). I won’t comment on all of my selections above as there is a link to tasting notes on each of them, but just to say that the red of the year – the Cheval Blanc 1985 – certainly goes down as one of my great wine experiences ever, not just in 2010.
