(2023) Quite a deep pink colour here, and a fruity rather than mineral style. Nice berry fruits, the palate showing a redcurrant firmess with touches of rhubarb. Dry and racy finish. Price quoted is for the 2022 vintage at time of review.
(2023) An organic Grenache wine, handsomely packaged with vinolock glass stopper, from a property in the Minervois region of the Languedoc. Pale salmon pink, the nose has strawberry bob-bons, dusted with icing sugar, and a pert feeling of freshness. In the mouth rounded with creamy fruits, and a hint of sweetness that I might guess as a mere touch of residual sugar. Acidity is good, giving this balance and meaning the finish is dry and citrus fresh. Stylish.
(2023) Dry, light, with watermelon and redcurrant aromas, this pale pink is appetising and gastronomic. A tart raspberry thrust of zingy fruit strikes the palate, lemony acidity adding to the verve and freshness. Provence might be the inspiration here, but it's a delicate and successful homage.
(2022) Is this a light red or a very dark pink - it's hard to say. A nice hint of bloodiness to the plum and redcurrant fruit. The palate has a very nice savoury red fruit, herb and and lightly earthy and meaty savour.
(2022) A lovely and in many ways typical, fresh and fragrant Provence pink, this is from a well-established producer, but new to the UK thanks to FromVineyardsDirect. Unusually, it is almost all Syrah: 84% along with 16% Grenache. Refined and pale in colour, it has a strawberry bon-bon nose, gently floral and with a touch of citrus zest. In the mouth very fruity and charming, plenty of vivid raspberry and white peach, and long with balanced acidity for gastronomic appeal.
(2022) An unusual combination of Pinot Noir and Zweigelt, fresh, delicate small berries, plenty of ripe red apple and very dry and summery on the palate. Clean, bone-dry finish.
