(2013) 13.0%, Diam cork. Classic Provence pale peach/salmon colour, and classic nose too, the dry rose-hip and cranberry scents, the redcurrant and slightly wild, garrigue aromas of herbs and flowers. Delightful palate, the racy citrus of the acidity scything through the refined red fruit, and enough weight, texture and just the merest hint of tannin and spice to give this savoury credentials.
(2012) That delightful, very pale, peachy Provence colour immediately appeals in this blend of Syrah Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. The nose has that typical soft red fruit and lightly spicy and herby aroma, with a wisp of something smoky and mineral showing the complexity that makes these wines so appealing. On the palate it is bone dry and has a lovely cut of fresh citrus and mineral acidity through the gentle fruit flavours, into a long, clear finish hinting at orange and raspberry.
(2011) An estate owned by the family behind Daylesford Organic Farm in Gloucestershire, this is not organic but is farmed sustainably paying attention to the lunar calendar. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre, it comes in a very modern and very smart screen-printed bottle. Pouring a pale coral to orange colour, it has a very refined nose, some background seed and herb notes present as well as creamy summer fruits. On the palate this is a firm, juicy, taut style, with very good acidity and a long, very precise finish that shows fruit and a touch of wild spice.
