(2018) An interesting wine aromatically, the nose with a touch of oniony character for me at first, but beyond that is a light toastiness and good creamy autolytic character, moving on to a taut, tangy, incisive palate, shot-through with lemony acidity. The mineral freshness and whisper of saltiness add more mouth-watering acid charcter to offset the obviously ripe fruit that gives a mid-palate weight and sweetness. Would be interesting to taste this in a few years time.
(2016) Bright green and youthful colour, fruit from Casablanca. 45% fermented in new and 1 year old barrels. Figgy and rich, with big tropical fruit notes but also an oiliness and richness of toast and buttered muffins. Leesy and rich, but the lemon and lime vibrancy and freshness comes through nicely.
