Terra Viva (Italy) Vino Rosso
This non-vintage wine is yet another in a range of organic wines I’ve tasting recently and offers very nice drinking at a low price. The nose is soft, subdued and summery with aromas of sweet currants and red cherries. The palate too is soft, with a dense, mellow mouthful of berry fruits and again that little bitter cherry note adding interest. There is typically Italian acidity that adds another highly-pitched edge in the finish, but this wine is mostly about warm, juicy, easy-drinking fruit. A versatile wine for sipping or with pasta.
