Caballo de Plata (Argentina) Bonarda/Barbera 1998
Dense, purple/black colour with subdued aromas of soft, jammy, black fruits. On the palate plenty of damson and other stone-fruit flavours, spicy with a soft tannic structure and good acidity. Fruit is warm, crunchy and juicy, with lighter cherry flavours emerging. Really delicious easy-drinking wine for pasta or pizza. 3.49, Safeway
