Ca’ del Solo (California) ‘Bloody Good White’ 1997
The nose offers oxidised aromas of over-ripe melon, sweet nectarine and rancid butter. It reminds me somewhat of white Rioja. The palate is oily and dense, with great buttery layers of fruit, fine citrus acidity and hints of spice and herbs. It is mouthfilling and luscious with a long finish. Delicious stuff. Oddbins 6.49
