Domaine de Raissac (VdP d’Oc) ‘CVM’ 1998
This unusual southern French wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Viognier and Muscat. It is aged in oak barrels and combines a nose of cinammon, cloves and ginger with vanilla and peach. On the palate it is savoury and spicy with powerful peach fruit, a nicely sour plummy edge and good acidity. Unusual and very good. Majestic, 4.99.
