20/05/2012 – Tagus Creek Shiraz Touriga Nacional Rosé 2010

Tagus Creek Shiraz Touriga Nacional Rose 2010, Portugal
This wine blends one Portuguese variety with one French, and comes from the developing Alentejo region, south and east of Lisbon. It is the fresh, new face of Portuguese wines, with its screwcapped bottle and dark, vibrant cherry colour. On the nose loads of fruit of cherry and strawberry, with a creaminess and real fruit clarity. On the palate it is dry and has a bit of bite and grip with dry red fruits and a nip of chewy tannin that gives this both sipping and food matching appeal. Watch the video for more details and food matching ideas. The 2011 vintage is in Asda. 6.49, Waitrose. See all UK stockists on .
