Champagne Moët et Chandon Diamond Jubilee Cuvée
A plethora of drinks has hit the shelves to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II. This Champagne (offcially endorsed by the palace) is a stylish example that will be kept as a souvenir by many, but which will deliver a very nice glass of wine for those who choose to drink it. Very fine bubbles stream constantly and the nose is attractive with a floral note to quite ripe apple and pear fruit, with just a little hint of a biscuit edge. In the mouth it has a rolling, soft mousse and ripe fruit floods across the tongue. It is quite full-bodied and hints at some sweetness, but a rush of lemony acidity keeps it crisp and fresh into a long finish.
