Neszmely (Hungary) ‘Hilltop’ Gewurztraminer 1997
This wine has been slow fermented in stainless steel to retain a grassy freshness. Not so overtly perfumed as typical Alsace examples, the nose has developing aromas of lychee and tropical fruit. The palate is spicy and full-flavoured, with quite tart raspberry fruit, plenty of alcohol and body and a powerful finish. Thresher, Victoria Wine 4.69.
