David Hohnen is the legendary figure who founded Cape Mentelle winery in Margaret River in 1976, before going on to establish Cloudy Bay in Marlborough in 1985. Today, he and brother-in-law Murray McHenry run McHenry Honhen, along with David’s daughter Freya. This unusual blend of Marsanne, Chardonnay and Rousanne is fermented in barrel using only wild yeasts.
