A wine I have followed for many, many years – indeed the 1999 vintage was my Wine of the Week back in the year 2000! The nose has very attactive, lightly smoky and mineral notes over waxy, lime and lemon rind fruit. On the palate it is bone dry. It slices through the mouth with rapier-like acidity, but it is far from thin: the pristine, lemon and lime fruit powers through and this has such lovely balance and finesse that it will age beautifully over 10 years.
