She’s doesn’t 5 Hereford is basically throwback Annabel’s - that being the best of the upper classes. Annabel’s itself is now really just an extension of the new Mayfair, which makes it pretty dull and very, very expensive. Not a good combo.

5 Hertford St is as close to throwback Annabels as Stringfellows is to the Moulin Rouge. Mind you, that would put new Annabels as Spearmint Rhino.

Brat in Shoreditch is open Mondays and would be my pick. Get a few starters in and then share a turbot. Lovely room. Cool part of town. Nice list.

Noble Rot another good Monday evening option. Lots of good places closed Mondays these days.

Some great suggestions guys. Noble Rot Soho looks like it could be a go-er as it means we can meander around Soho and get the general vibe. Brat could be perfect as they are staying near there and also, I wanted to show them around Shoreditch.Brick Lane/Spitalfields.

Keep those reccos coming - these places I'll also use myself when they have gone back to the US..

I was going to suggest Noble Rot Soho but I think you’d be too late to book anything but a super early dinner. You generally have to book 2-3 months in advance. Though I guess early dinner then a wander in soho would be pretty fun

Ah, if Brat is OK, then I got the wrong end of the stick. A great place, and they are amenable to corkage if you ask nicely. I seem to remember a spectacular cheesey thing we had there once.
