(2008) Malbec 75%, 15% Syrah and 10% Bonarda. Syrah in American oak, others in French. Quite a schisty quality here, with a certain raciness to the fruit. The wine has plenty of oak, with a spicy character, and a touch of floral and bright, kirsch-like cherry fruit on the palate. Very nice wine, with the spice and cream coming through, and a lithe, supple quality to tannins and acid structure. Very good.
