Also not sure if different rules apply to adults vs children's passports.
Which app is that? There seem to be so many "fake" ones these days!I don't know Alex - my wife is using the French app which seems to work universally (and she was vaccinated in the USA), and I'm showing a PDF of my vaccination certificate from which they scan the QR code. Both have worked flawlessly. I expect a manual version would work as long as the QR code remains readable (careful folding and moisture management required). Surely Lauren could download/send a PDF to her phone as I did - I just keep it in Notes. Even if it was an attachment in an e-mail it could be opened and scanned.
Yes - I have, for a trip I came back from. Haven't yet ordered for the next trip, but probably will. I think HMG are only relaxing the rules for half term. No idea why, though, other than politics. Think it as £43 from Randox.Anyone ordered a day 2 test in the last week or two? I'm still unclear as to whether LFTs are acceptable yet and if not, when they might be (I'm returning on the 30th).
Yep Phil - Randox again. I’m travelling back before 30th.Anyone ordered a day 2 test in the last week or two? I'm still unclear as to whether LFTs are acceptable yet and if not, when they might be (I'm returning on the 30th).
Yes 3 months clear from issue plus 5 or 10 for an adult and under 5 years upon return. His is only a 5 year passport so that might help also based on 5 years from issue the "expiry" would be 03/02/2022 and we're scheduled to fly home on 31/10/21 which gives all of Nov, Dec and Jan clear... Surely OK?
The under 12s are certainly ok. We used our sans Covid app in France, our 8yos weren’t asked in restaurants. When it comes to covid passes for restaurants etc, how are children dealt with? Is it assumed that they don’t need one/have one? We have one below age 12, and one of 12 or older, neither of whom have been vaccinated. I was going to see whether the NHS app would work for them based on age and no positive test, but wondered if something else is required in France? The eldest needs to have a negative test within 24hrs of departing UK for entry to France, but beyond that it’s not particularly clear to me…
That’s reassuring, thanks Mike. It’s the 12 year old who might be caught in limbo! The under 12s are certainly ok. We used our sans Covid app in France, our 8yos weren’t asked in restaurants.
European covid tracker has a facility to put your NHS certificate on so that you have the European certificate. It's what most bars and cafes asked for when I was over. But I'm sure they're not going to turn you away with just paperwork.Which app is that? There seem to be so many "fake" ones these days!
I booked through doctorlib. Expensive! 39 euros and for some reason I had to give the tester an extra 10 euros and then take the test down to the laboratory myself!Yes. I think there was a bit of a shortage of lateral flow tests a while back but most larger pharmacies seem to have them now. Though I haven’t really checked.
Alternatively you can check doctorlib.

Other comments possibly relevant:
1) Eurotunnel yday no interest in any documents. Obviously had to upload vaccine proof beforehand.
2) COVID pass then copied into French anti COVID app, scrupulously examined before entry to restaurant granted.
3) huge number of policemen lining up to arrest me for having a car with GB number plate and no “U.K.” sticker.
Did you sort your passport issue ?Randox who have seemed to been generally favourably received aren't yet offering Day 2 Lateral Flow so far as I can see. Soooo many providers there on the Gov website! Anyone booked one?
Decided that the Timatic confirmation that he was good to travel (system used by BA and other airlines to assess who they should let on planes) and the clear statement from the Spanish government that 3 months validity is adequate was going to be the approach.Did you sort your passport issue ?
with regards the Day 2 LFT I thought you can’t order until the 22nd and officially it’s 24th onwards.
