Yup they do. They saw a fairly modest price increase to reflect this compared to their other EU sites.I'm pretty sure that Decantalo's UK website prices now include duty and VAT?

Yes - I guess I should have reversed the order of my sentences!I'm pretty sure that Decantalo's UK website prices now include duty and VAT?
How have they managed to do this and keep their UK prices relatively low whilst so many other EU merchants are still unable to ship to UK?I think Decantalo is one of the organisations that's worked it out (I suspect UK sales is a large part of their business). However, tax/duty demands can arrive later! Would make a good scam, actually.
Probably because they are a huge operation so the scale keeps costs down. As others have said the UK market was a big one for them so they were quick to put in place a way to continue to do that. It’s smaller shops and online merchants who probably won’t bother due to the startup costs involved in doing so.How have they managed to do this and keep their UK prices relatively low whilst so many other EU merchants are still unable to ship to UK?
Yes they do Tom. 3 cases bought from them this year and no additional charges.I'm pretty sure that Decantalo's UK website prices now include duty and VAT?
What's the £105 for? I presume that's on top of the £160, and not a discounted price!! ;-)Yes they do Tom. 3 cases bought from them this year and no additional charges.
Whilst J&B seeking £105 + vat for sending over a £160 case from London to Belfast. That's not including carriage.
Their prices seemed to increase quite significantly post-Brexit and I had assumed it was to include UK duty and VAT which they would pay to HMRC on our behalf.I think Decantalo is one of the organisations that's worked it out (I suspect UK sales is a large part of their business). I must have been looking at the wrong wines but many were on a par with UK retailers now, without the risk of them lying in a baking hot warehouse in France, for several days, on the way up from Spain. Or being sent back UK C&E, which was one of the concerns early on.How have they managed to do this and keep their UK prices relatively low whilst so many other EU merchants are still unable to ship to UK?
Allegedly import duty, export duty and an administration feeWhat's the £105 for? I presume that's on top of the £160, and not a discounted price!! ;-)
If I'm not mistaken the PM has personally promised to settle that charge, so I suggest sending the invoice to no.10.Allegedly import duty, export duty and an administration fee
What an odd thing to say.Mr Lambert has been nothing but vociferous, I’m glad he has learnt to adapt. Just wish he had realised this sooner.……surprised it took him this long, but perhaps I am not.
This is a change of life completely David. I suppose one initially persists with change and tries to adapt. If after a while you're running against the tide and the adaptation isn't working you consider more life changing options like leaving the country and running your business from abroad. Such decisions are not made over night. I would say a couple of years isn't a relatively long period of time in the context of things.Mr Lambert has been nothing but vociferous, I’m glad he has learnt to adapt.
