(2021) Mellot suggest not chilling this too much and I can understand that: the Pinot Noir character is quite strong, and a light chill wirks well. Rose-hip and cherry aromas lead on to a certain creaminess on the palate, relatively robust red fruits and super clean freshness from the lemon-fresh acidity and the touch of saline minerality.
(2020) Lots of zip and appealing brightness to this, a bit of lipsticky lift and bright red summer fruits: rosehips, strawberry and watermelon. In the mouth a nicely balanced wine, with that pulpy fresh red fruit tanginess persisting, a nice core of lemony acidity and pleasing dry, textured finish.
(2017) Quite a deep colour, the most fragrant floral and jasmine edges to that buttery wax development. The palate has great richness, but shot through with pure shimmering mineral acidity. Delightful.
